CONNECTION GROUPS

At Edmond's First Baptist, Connection Groups embody our strategic approach to realizing our vision. These groups are pivotal in connecting individuals with Christ, His church, His word, and His mission.

By fostering meaningful relationships and spiritual growth, Connection Groups serve as the heartbeat of our community. In the following videos, we will explore the essence of Connection Groups, uncover the vital roles played by teachers and directors, and offer practical insights to enhance the effectiveness of your group.

Join us as we delve deeper into how these connections can transform lives and strengthen our shared faith journey.

IMPORTANCE OF ASKING QUESTIONS
IMPORTANCE OF FOLLOWING UP

Follow-ups are essential to the health of your Connection Group (CG). A follow-up with a member or guest is an example of a CG leader shepherding their group. As a CG leader, you are the shepherd of your group, and the shepherd tends to the sheep consistently. Here are opportunities to follow up:

  • a first-time guest attends
  • returning guests continuing to attend
  • members who missed this Sunday
  • or members who have not attended in a long time

As you can see there are several opportunities to follow up with those in your group. A follow-up communicates that a person is important to you and the group, so you are taking the time and making the effort to check in on them. You do not have to do this alone! You can share the responsibility with other members of the group. If you need contact information for someone in your group, remember there is a directory in your CG folder with all of their information, or you can email Ashton Wright and he will help you get it.
