Parents Day Out
Edmond’s First Parent’s Day Out is a nurturing ministry for families with young children, three months to pre-kindergarten, in our community. We provide a safe, nurturing environment where preschoolers enjoy a fun-filled day focused on developing skills to prepare them for kindergarten. Our program includes pre-reading, pre-math, socialization, and spiritual growth activities, all guided by a Christ-like attitude. While children learn and grow, parents get a much-needed break. Join us in fostering your child’s early development in a loving, Christian environment.
2025-2026 Parents Day Out
While at PDO, preschoolers enjoy a day of skill development to prepare them for kindergarten and formal schooling. Preschoolers participate in pre-reading skills, pre-math skills, socialization, and spiritual development as teachers model a Christ-like attitude daily.
Wee Learn curriculum is used in all classes. Supplemental activities are added to enhance learning. Schedules vary by classroom. All will consist of circle time, craft time, bible story, playground (weather permitting), free play time in the classroom and rest time.
Class size will vary by age. Each class will have at least two teachers so the ratio is well below the allowable limit.
Children bring their lunch from home and eat in the classroom. Snacks will be requested by the teacher via a sign-up list as they are needed.
Every age will have a rest/nap time. The exact time and duration will vary by class. Children over age one will bring their own nap mat/sleeping bag. These may be left in the classroom and will be sent home periodically for washing.

Teachers & Staff
People make the difference, individual talents and abilities are sought to enhance our program. Teachers partner with parents who are the ultimate authority.
We realize the preschool years are an important, formative time in the lives of young children; therefore, we select teachers and staff based on not just their desire to serve, but on their ability to communicate on individual levels.
Many of our teachers/staff are parents and grandparents who strive to care for your children with gentle and compassionate attitudes.
