Build Unity & Connection
Reaching The World
When we become followers of Christ, disciples, we become part of a family of faith. We fellowship with other believers, worship together, serve each other, and serve the community as well. Being together in fellowship, worship, and using our gifts is vital for the church to grow. This connection helps us grow in our faith and builds the unity of the church.
Our Strategy
Through Connection Groups, people are our strategy.
For the purposes of Bible study and discipleship training, we divide into Connection Groups (small groups) according to age and grade. These divisions mirror those that happen naturally in life so that each class is comprised of small groups of peers who are facing similar joys, challenges, and experiences as others in the class.
Preschoolers are grouped in age and developmentally appropriate classes while school aged children are grouped according to their school grade.
Adults are encouraged to visit several Connection Groups in your age group before selecting the one that is the most comfortable fit for you.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study
Starting Aug. 19th | 6:00 PM – 7:15 PM | Room 108
More Than Enough:
Begins August 19th and led by the Women’s Ministry Team.
Have you ever felt a sense of lack? That you’re not strong enough? Not confident or courageous enough? That you simply don’t have what it takes to endure the pains and difficulties of life?
In this 8-session, verse-by-verse study on 2 Corinthians, Christine Hoover guides you through one of Paul’s most personal letters to discover how God is the ultimate source of the strength and sufficiency you need. You’ll find that God gives you strength to go on—through troubles, disappointments, and temptations—and strength to go forth, equipping you to serve Him and compelling you to share the gospel. Weakness is not a disqualifier or a flaw in our design. In fact, God shows Himself most powerfully in and through our fragility and vulnerability. We’re called, then, not to work harder or to hide our weaknesses, but to call upon God’s infinite resources and rely on Him.

The Men’s Ministry of Edmond’s First is a very active group of guys! We have many opportunities for men to gather for prayer, Bible study, and fellowship. Men, as spiritual leaders of our families, we should be actively engaged in being discipled, discipling others, and sharing the love of Jesus with the world. Below are some great opportunities for men to be involved.
Wednesday Evening Bible Study
6:00 PM – 7:15 PM | Room 110
All Christian ministry is a mixture of trellis and vine. There is vine work: the prayerful preaching and teaching of the word of God to see people converted and grow to maturity as disciples of Christ. Vine work is the Great Commission. And there is trellis work: creating and maintaining the physical and organizational structures and programs that support vine work and its growth. The image of the trellis and the vine raises all the fundamental questions of Christian ministry: What is the vine for? How does the vine grow? What is vine work and what is trellis work, and how can we tell the difference?
Emmaus Road Institute
Sunday Evenings | 3:30 – 5:00 pm | Room 108

April 12, 2026 – August 31, 2026, Curriculum
From Apostles to Church History
This course equips men to understand the historical foundations of Christianity by studying the apostolic witness, the spread of the early church, and the major developments of Christian history. Through the study of the apostles’ testimony, ministry, and martyrdom, alongside a broad survey of the church across the centuries, men will gain a deeper appreciation for the truth of the gospel, the faithfulness of God in preserving His church, and the courage required for Christian leadership. Special attention will be given to how doctrine, discipleship, persecution, and reform have shaped the people of God from the first century to the present. The aim is to form men who are historically informed, biblically grounded, and prepared to lead with conviction and faithfulness.

What We Believe
Edmond's First Vision
-
CONNECTING TO CHRIST
As Christians, followers of Christ, we should follow Jesus command and example. In Matthew 28, Jesus said, “Go, therefore and make disciples of all nations…” Go is easy enough. In this busy world, we are always going. Therefore – what is it there for? Because of what Christ did for us, paying the penalty of our sin by His death on the cross and resurrection, so we can have eternal and abundant life. We need to lead people to be followers of Jesus Christ, to make disciples. We do this by sharing how we began a relationship with Jesus and what a difference He makes in our life.
-
CONNECTING TO HIS CHURCH
When we become followers of Christ, disciples, we become part of a family of faith. We fellowship with other believers, worship together, serve each other, and serve the community as well. Being together in fellowship, worship, and using our gifts is vital for the church to grow. This connection helps us grow in our faith and builds the unity of the church.
-
CONNECTING TO HIS WORD
How do we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? By reading His Word, listening to His Word, studying His Word, living it out in our lives, and teaching others to do the same. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are disciples and we are commanded to make disciples.
-
CONNECTING TO HIS MISSION
God’s Word says we are to Go, therefore and make disciples of all nations. We go across the street and around world to tell people the good news of Jesus Christ – He came to pay the penalty of our mistakes in order that our broken relationship with God could be restored. We do this through words and works.
