Importance of Following Up
Follow-ups are essential to the health of your Connection Group (CG). A follow-up with a member or guest is an example of a CG leader shepherding their group. As a CG leader, you are the shepherd of your group, and the shepherd tends to the sheep consistently. Here are opportunities to follow up:
- A first-time guest attends
- Returning guests continuing to attend
- Members who missed this Sunday
- Or members who have not attended in a long time
As you can see there are several opportunities to follow up with those in your group. A follow-up communicates that a person is important to you and the group, so you are taking the time and making the effort to check in on them. You do not have to do this alone! You can share the responsibility with other members of the group. If you need contact information for someone in your group, remember there is a directory in your CG folder with all of their information, or you can email Ashton Wright and he will help you get it.
