Connection Groups

Build Unity & Connection

Reaching The World

When we become followers of Christ, disciples, we become part of a family of faith. We fellowship with other believers, worship together, serve each other, and serve the community as well. Being together in fellowship, worship, and using our gifts is vital for the church to grow. This connection helps us grow in our faith and builds the unity of the church.

Our Strategy

Through Connection Groups, people are our strategy.

For the purposes of Bible study and discipleship training, we divide into Connection Groups (small groups) according to age and grade. These divisions mirror those that happen naturally in life so that each class is comprised of small groups of peers who are facing similar joys, challenges, and experiences as others in the class.

Preschoolers are grouped in age and developmentally appropriate classes while school aged children are grouped according to their school grade.

Adults are encouraged to visit several Connection Groups in your age group before selecting the one that is the most comfortable fit for you.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study

6:00 PM – 7:15 PM | Room 108
Steadfast Love: A Study of Psalm 107
Begins January 7 and led by the Women’s Ministry Team. There are times when worship overflows effortlessly from a heart full of gratitude and praise. And there are times when God seems far and we feel we have nothing to offer. Throughout it all, God shows us His steadfast love.

Psalm 107 is a call to worship. It reminds us that each season of life is an opportunity to reveal the anchor of our souls. In this Bible study, learn to face both storms and deserts with courage and trust in Jesus, and discover how tests in our journeys of faith reveal the true condition of our hearts. For there is no fear for the one who fears the Lord, the one whose soul is anchored in His steadfast love.

“From Beginning to Forever”

Starts February 3 |6:30pm | Room 108

The 8-week Bible study From Beginning to Forever reveals the entirety of Scripture as God’s big story and His work to redeem and restore the entire world. Elizabeth Woodson guides readers through rich theological truths from Genesis to Revelation and shows us how we are part of God’s great work today.

"Joshua"

Starts February 5 | 9:45am | Room 108

The book of Joshua chronicles God’s continuing faithfulness to fulfill His covenant promises to Abraham. It is a book of transitions, in which Joshua rises to leadership and the people of God step across the Jordan into the long-awaited land of promise. The task of possessing the land will test the limits of their strength and their courage, but God’s covenant will not fail them. And Joshua’s faithful example will whisper toward the perfect faithfulness of Christ Himself.

What We Believe

Edmond's First Vision

  • CONNECTING TO CHRIST

As Christians, followers of Christ, we should follow Jesus command and example. In Matthew 28, Jesus said, “Go, therefore and make disciples of all nations…” Go is easy enough. In this busy world, we are always going. Therefore – what is it there for? Because of what Christ did for us, paying the penalty of our sin by His death on the cross and resurrection, so we can have eternal and abundant life. We need to lead people to be followers of Jesus Christ, to make disciples. We do this by sharing how we began a relationship with Jesus and what a difference He makes in our life.

  • CONNECTING TO HIS CHURCH

When we become followers of Christ, disciples, we become part of a family of faith. We fellowship with other believers, worship together, serve each other, and serve the community as well. Being together in fellowship, worship, and using our gifts is vital for the church to grow. This connection helps us grow in our faith and builds the unity of the church.

  • CONNECTING TO HIS WORD

How do we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? By reading His Word, listening to His Word, studying His Word, living it out in our lives, and teaching others to do the same. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are disciples and we are commanded to make disciples.

  • CONNECTING TO HIS MISSION

God’s Word says we are to Go, therefore and make disciples of all nations. We go across the street and around world to tell people the good news of Jesus Christ – He came to pay the penalty of our mistakes in order that our broken relationship with God could be restored. We do this through words and works.
